If you like shopping take a quick drive to Miami and visit the Lincoln Road Mall or stroll along the white sandy beach at South Beach. Even closer to home, visit Florida's largest mall - Sawgrass Mills Mall.
For the golfing enthusiast, there is the Jacaranda Golf Club, just steps away from the condo. There are many golf courses to choose from such as the Plantation Preserve Golf Club or the Fort Lauderdale Country Club to name a few. Discount tee times can be booked online using Golf Now.
For the adventurous one, only 2 1/2 hours drive from the condo, you can go to the Gulf coast and visit Sanibel/Captiva Island and have lunch at one of their many popular restaurants.
Of course, for the beach lovers, visit greater Fort Lauderdale's many beaches - Deerfield, Fort Lauderdale, Dania, Hallandale, Hollywood, Hillsboro, Pompano or Lauderdale-by-the-sea.
If you want to do some fun things with the kids, try the Airboat rides at the Sawgrass Recreation Park or in Miami you can also visit the GatorPark. The Monkey Jungle can also prove to keep the kiddies entertained. Try to take in the sights on the Fort Lauderdale Water taxi which travels along Fort Lauderdale’s world famous waterways, which have earned the city the nickname, “The Venice of America”.
